Refund & Cancellation Policy.

This policy explains how cancellation, withdrawal, cohort changes, duplicate payments and approved refunds are handled for Niyo programs and related paid services. Because program formats and offers may differ, the specific commercial terms presented when you enrol remain important.

Last updated: 5 October 2026 Applies to: Paid Niyo Services
Please Read Before Payment

Refund eligibility depends on the applicable enrolment terms.

References to “Niyo”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to Niyo operating Niyo School of Future .

This Refund & Cancellation Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and the pricing, payment schedule, cancellation terms or offer conditions shown or communicated when a student is enrolled.

!
Paying a program fee does not create an unlimited right to cancel later.

Different cohorts, offers or services may have different refund conditions. Please review the applicable enrolment information before completing payment.

01

Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to payments made directly for Niyo programs, services or paid participation where Niyo is responsible for the applicable transaction.

It may apply to:

  • Niyo Explorer enrolment;
  • Niyo Innovator enrolment;
  • Niyo Fellowship enrolment;
  • applicable learning programs or workshops;
  • paid events where separately charged;
  • other paid Niyo services expressly covered by this policy.

Payments made directly to an independent third party may also be subject to that provider's own refund or cancellation terms.

02

Terms Applicable to Your Transaction

Niyo may offer different programs, cohorts, payment plans, promotions or fee structures.

The specific terms displayed or communicated at the time of enrolment may include:

  • total program fee;
  • instalment schedule;
  • enrolment or reservation amount;
  • cancellation conditions;
  • cohort-transfer conditions;
  • promotional discounts;
  • scholarship or fee-benefit conditions.
Important Principle The refund conditions applicable to a specific purchase should be considered together with the enrolment confirmation issued for that transaction.

Where mandatory rights apply under applicable law, those rights are not excluded by this policy.

03

Cancellation Before a Program Starts

If you wish to cancel an enrolment before the relevant program or cohort begins, contact Niyo as early as possible.

Refund eligibility will depend on the terms communicated for the applicable enrolment, including whether any portion of the payment was identified as non-refundable, committed toward reserved capacity or otherwise subject to a specific cancellation condition.

Where a refund is available, Niyo may first verify:

  • the registered student;
  • payment reference;
  • payment amount;
  • program and cohort;
  • applicable offer or payment terms;
  • date on which cancellation was requested.
04

Cancellation After Learning Has Begun

Once the applicable program has started, learning access, cohort capacity, sessions, materials, systems and operational resources may already have been allocated to the student.

For this reason, withdrawal after program commencement does not automatically create entitlement to a full or proportionate refund.

Any refund, credit or transfer after commencement will depend on:

  • the terms applicable to the enrolment;
  • stage of program participation;
  • services already delivered;
  • access already provided;
  • applicable legal requirements;
  • any exceptional circumstances accepted by Niyo.
05

Voluntary Student Withdrawal

A parent, guardian or eligible participant may decide to discontinue participation for personal, academic, scheduling or other reasons.

Voluntary withdrawal does not automatically mean that unused sessions, project weeks, review periods, Expo opportunities or other elements have a separately refundable monetary value.

A withdrawal request should be made in writing so that Niyo can record the date and evaluate the applicable enrolment terms.

Stopping Participation

Simply not attending sessions or ceasing communication is not the same as submitting a formal cancellation or refund request.

06

Cohort Changes & Transfers

Where operationally possible, Niyo may consider a request to move a student to another suitable cohort instead of cancelling the enrolment.

A transfer is not guaranteed and may depend on:

  • seat availability;
  • program compatibility;
  • student's learning stage;
  • curriculum progress;
  • cohort timing;
  • administrative feasibility.

Where approved, the transferred enrolment may remain subject to the original payment or cancellation terms unless Niyo confirms otherwise.

07

Cancellation or Material Change by Niyo

Niyo may occasionally need to postpone, reschedule, combine, modify or cancel a cohort because of operational, facilitator, technology, safety or other reasonable circumstances.

Where a material cancellation occurs, Niyo may, as appropriate, offer one or more of the following:

  • placement in another suitable cohort;
  • an alternative delivery arrangement;
  • account credit where agreed;
  • refund of applicable undelivered fees where an appropriate alternative cannot reasonably be provided.

The applicable resolution will depend on the circumstances, the amount already delivered and applicable law.

08

Duplicate or Excess Payments

If the same payment is accidentally processed more than once, contact Niyo with the relevant transaction references.

After verification, a genuine duplicate or excess payment may be reversed or refunded to the appropriate payment source.

We may request supporting details such as:

  • student or payer name;
  • registered phone number or email;
  • transaction IDs;
  • transaction dates;
  • amounts charged.
09

Failed, Pending or Reversed Transactions

A payment may sometimes appear debited from a bank account while the payment gateway reports the transaction as failed or pending.

In such cases, the banking or payment network may automatically reverse the amount without Niyo receiving settled funds.

If the amount is not automatically reversed, contact us with the transaction details so the payment status can be checked.

Payment Gateway Timing

Bank, card, UPI and payment-provider reconciliation timelines may differ. Niyo cannot accelerate a reversal that remains under the independent payment provider's banking process.

10

Discounts, Scholarships & Fee Benefits

A student may enrol using a promotional discount, scholarship benefit, special fee, institutional arrangement or other approved concession.

If a refund, transfer or cancellation is later approved, the treatment of such benefits will depend on the conditions under which the original benefit was granted.

Scholarship consideration or recognition after enrolment does not automatically convert previous program payments into refundable amounts unless the applicable scholarship terms expressly provide for that result.

Scholarships Scholarship selection and refund eligibility are separate processes.

A scholarship is competitive and governed by the relevant scholarship cycle. It should not be assumed to create a refund unless expressly stated in the award terms.

11

Expo, Review Period & Event Participation

Niyo's program journey may include project completion followed by a three-month review period and possible eligibility for a future Summer Arc or Winter Arc Expo.

Unless expressly sold as a separately priced service, the following do not automatically have an independent refundable value:

  • project review;
  • the three-month review period;
  • Expo eligibility;
  • an opportunity to be considered for an Expo;
  • scholarship consideration;
  • recognition opportunities.

Failure to qualify for, attend or receive recognition at an Expo does not automatically entitle the student to a refund of program fees.

12

How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Refund and cancellation requests should be submitted through an official Niyo communication channel.

Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant transaction.

01 Send the Request

Contact Niyo with the reason for the cancellation or refund request.

02 Provide Details

Share student, program and transaction information needed for verification.

03 Policy Review

We check the enrolment terms, payment status and applicable circumstances.

04 Decision

You are informed whether the request is approved, declined or requires additional information.

Information We May Request

  • student name;
  • parent or payer name;
  • registered email or phone number;
  • program name;
  • cohort details;
  • transaction or payment reference;
  • date and amount of payment;
  • reason for the request.
13

Approved Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, Niyo will communicate the applicable refund amount or adjustment.

The time required for the amount to appear after initiation may depend on the original payment method, bank, card issuer or payment provider.

A refund should not be treated as completed solely because it has been approved internally. Banking settlement can require additional processing time outside Niyo's direct control.

14

Where Approved Refunds Are Sent

Wherever reasonably possible, an approved refund will be returned through the original payment route or another verified method accepted by Niyo.

For security and fraud-prevention reasons, we may request verification before sending funds to a payment method different from the original transaction source.

Niyo may decline a request to redirect a refund to an unrelated third party.

15

Items That May Not Be Refundable

Subject to the applicable enrolment terms and applicable law, certain amounts or delivered services may not be refundable.

Examples can include:

  • services already delivered;
  • completed sessions;
  • learning access already substantially used;
  • expressly identified non-refundable enrolment or reservation amounts;
  • third-party costs already incurred specifically for a participant where disclosed;
  • separately purchased items that have already been supplied and are not legally returnable;
  • other amounts expressly described as non-refundable before payment.

Nothing in this section limits any refund right that cannot legally be excluded.

16

Exceptional Circumstances

Niyo may consider documented exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis even where the standard enrolment terms do not otherwise provide for a refund.

Such consideration is discretionary unless a refund is required by applicable law and does not automatically create a precedent for other cases.

Depending on the circumstances, Niyo may consider alternatives such as:

  • temporary pause where operationally possible;
  • cohort transfer;
  • service credit;
  • another reasonable resolution.
17

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you believe a payment is incorrect, please contact Niyo first so the transaction can be investigated.

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute does not automatically determine whether a program fee was contractually refundable.

Niyo may provide the payment provider with relevant transaction, enrolment and service records when responding to a legitimate payment dispute.

Fraudulent or knowingly false payment disputes may result in restriction of services and other action permitted by law.

18

Changes to This Policy

Niyo may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy as programs, payment methods, operational processes or legal requirements change.

The policy applicable to a completed transaction should be considered together with the specific terms communicated when that transaction was made.

The date at the top of this page indicates the current published version.
